This is perfect for those who travel and do not want to constantly worry about where the nearest power source may be. This corresponds to the battery life of the Kindle and the Nook Touch keyboard.
Additional Features: Touch The Kindle also comes with some features that are standard on the Kindle keyboard, but are not included in the new Kindle in 2011. Because this device has speakers, we see the text-to-speech is now available (which means you can have your books read to you out loud), and the ability to play Audible audio books and MP3 files .
The new X-ray feature is not found on the Kindle or the Kindle keyboard. It allows you to see the "bones of a book" by clicking on a button. No buttons At All: The fact that there are no buttons on the Kindle Touch is not an inconvenience for everyone. After all, it helps to simplify the design and the touch screen is intuitive to use. But if you're not interested in technique, or buy Kindle to someone who is not accustomed to using these gadgets, they can find buttons make it easier to navigate.
SIZE: The Kindle Touch Wi-Fi and 3G versions are heavier than the standard Kindle. At nearly 8 ounces, you can feel the difference between the Touch and the original Kindle (less than six grams), but the good news is that both are still much lighter and smaller than the Kindle keyboard. All these devices are honest enough light to last for hours.
No ePub books: As with all other models Kindle, Amazon Kindle Touch still does not support the open source format ePub book. This means that it is not easy to read books from other stores, but you can do with the help of a free conversion tool like Calibre.
The good news is that the Kindle is now part of the leading library eBook lending Overdrive. This means you can borrow for free eBooks for your Kindle, as long as your local school or library is under contract to the department. You may also lend Kindle books to friends, but only if the publisher allows, and only for a limited time.
