The Kobo Touch is priced at $ 139, but still comes with a sleek touch screen and a variety of eReader features.

It's unlikely any of our eBooks will be enough to extend the memory to fill, but it is always useful to expand the options available should you ever need.

Web Access and Web browsers: The Kobo Touch Edition comes with Wi-Fi connectivity built in, as you expect when its main rivals are the Kindle and Nook. You can simply use it to shop for new books from the device, or you can use the included browser. Like most e-Ink reader browsers, it is not perfect, but it is a great feature to have on hand.
Design: Like any good e-reader is Kobo Touch Edition designed to be compact and portable. It is lightweight, making it comfortable to hold as you read. The real thing that sets Kobo apart from other eReader, however, is padded backrest design. It comes in a variety of colors suits your personality and looks stylish and fun. The design also means that you have a good grip on the device.
Battery: With Wi-Fi off, the battery on Kobo Touch Edition last about one month, which is more than enough time for most users not having to worry about charging all the time. Note that this is less than two months boasted Kindle Touch Touch Keyboard and Nook, but is still considered an excellent battery life.
Some unique features: Like the Kindle and Nook Touch Touch, Kobo Touch Edition comes with some of its own unique features. For example allows Reading Life feature you to keep track of everything you've read, gives you detailed statistics and rewards when you meet certain requirements. Only with Kindle and Nook, you can also share what you read with Facebook and Twitter.
Apps for other devices: Like the Amazon Kindle and Barnes & Noble Nook has Kobo a variety of programs available for download on Android, iPhone iPhone and PC. This means you get your books available to you regardless of which of the devices that you can use.
Page Turns: As the newest generations of Nook and Kindle, manufacturers of Kobo reader has gone to some effort to reduce the black screen flash that occurs when you turn the page on an e-Ink screen. This means you will not notice the screen goes black every page change, which is nice (although most users do not usually notice the page changes once they get used to using their eReader). Note that you can either swipe or tap the screen to turn the page, which is very intuitive and easy to do.
With the Kobo-signature soft quilted back and travel friendly size, the new Kobo eReader Touch offers the ultimate reading experience.
Fewer functions: The Kobo Touch Edition has fewer features than the Kindle equivalent. Like the Nook, but it does not come with the ability to play MP3 files, nor has a text-to-speech function. That said, you can read PDF files and formats the device supports loan.
Newspapers and magazines: The Nook is famous for the way it can be displayed magazines, and the Kindle has an excellent selection of titles in the store. The Kobo, on the other hand, far fewer titles to choose from.
Less intuitive: When you Kobo Touch Edition against key rivals Kindle and Nook, you will find that the touch functions are less intuitive than the competition. The user interface is not as well designed and laid out, but you can still find your way around quite easily.
In short, the Kobo Touch Edition is an excellent upgrade to its line of eReader. There are a number of device features that help it stand up against rivals like the Nook Kindle Touch and Touch, and the design certainly stands out. Even Kobo does not offer as many books in their own shop, eReader is open enough so that you can read content from other sources. All in all, Kobo Touch Edition at a great price and is a solid eReader.
