Design: Due to the fact that the WD TV Live Hub comes with a hard drive included, it is a little bigger than some streaming devices like the Apple TV and Roku 2. But it is still small enough to easily fit into your existing entertainment unit, and the glossy black design makes it look stylish but discreet.

Storage Space: The main difference between the WD TV Live Hub and the newer and cheaper WD TV Live is the fact that the former boasts a 1TB hard drive. Hard is what Western Digital is famous for, and 1 TB is lots of room for storing your media files. This is great for those who have a very large collection of digital media, and who want to be able to accommodate it in one multimedia device, instead of connecting an external hard drive or streaming over your home network.

File Format: WD TV Live Hub supports a wide variety of file formats, which makes such an attractive option compared with devices Roku.

Streaming content to and from network devices: WD TV Live Hub can connect to other devices on the network, whether that means other computers or game consoles set up on your home network.
